What the website preview handles, why it matters, and the choices you have.

Last updated 26 September 2026

These pages cover the current Plex3D website preview. We’ll update them before accounts, payments or cloud generation become available.

About this notice

This notice explains personal information handled through the Plex3D website preview. Plex3D is the brand responsible for this website. For privacy questions or requests, contact [email protected].

This local studio supports email-and-password accounts and generation on the GX10. Account details, saved projects, credit records and sessions are stored on the GX10. Paid plans and credit purchases use Stripe Checkout. We send your account email and purchase reference to Stripe and store customer/subscription identifiers, payment amounts, statuses and credit records. Card details are entered on Stripe’s hosted pages; Plex3D does not store full card numbers or security codes.

Information involved

  • Website requests. Delivering pages and images requires your IP address and technical request information, such as browser details and the resource requested, to reach the server providing them. Hosting and content-delivery services may record request or security logs.
  • Accounts. Your name, email address and a password hash are stored in the local database. Sign-in sessions and request limits support account security. Google, Apple and Microsoft sign-in are not connected.
  • Images and prompts. Starting generation sends your inputs to the studio worker on the GX10. Saved chats, generated files and project details remain on that machine so you can return to them. This workflow does not train a model on your inputs.
  • Preferences. If you dismiss the announcement banner, your browser remembers that choice. See our Cookies Policy for the exact preference and how to remove it.
  • Messages. If you email us, you provide your address, message and any attachments. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information that is not needed for your enquiry.

Why information is used

Technical request information supports delivery and security of the website. Our intended lawful basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in operating a reliable, secure website, balanced against visitors’ rights.

We use correspondence to answer your enquiry and resolve the issue you raise. This is normally based on our legitimate interest in responding to you, or taking steps at your request before entering a contract where relevant. A legal obligation may require us to retain particular records.

The current preview does not use advertising pixels, analytics trackers, behavioural profiling or automated decisions about visitors. Selecting an image in the preview does not submit it for model training.

Service providers and external content

Website hosting, email and content-delivery providers can process information needed to deliver their services. Showcase artwork is sourced from an Amazon CloudFront content-delivery domain, and some software icons load from Simple Icons at cdn.simpleicons.org. Your browser may contact external asset services when loading a page.

An external website you choose to visit has its own privacy practices. Our links do not give us control over how that website handles your information.

Before the production service launches, this notice will identify the operator and relevant providers, their processing locations, and any safeguards needed for international transfers. Contact [email protected] for questions about a specific request.

How long information remains

Account and project records remain in the local database until removed by the studio administrator. Generated files and backups also remain on the GX10 until removed. Sessions expire after seven days and may renew during use; logging out revokes the current session. Browser preferences remain until cleared.

Support correspondence and technical logs have different retention needs. The production retention periods are still being finalised and will be published before launch. We have not represented a fixed deletion period for records held by hosting or email providers; you can ask us about information relating to you at [email protected].

Your privacy rights

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may ask for access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. If processing relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.

Send requests to [email protected]. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity. We will respond within the time required by applicable data protection law and explain if a right is subject to an exception.

You can also raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office, or your local data protection authority where applicable.

Changes and contact

We will revise this notice when the service or its data practices change. Accounts, projects and usage records are stored on the GX10. Stripe processes payments and provides hosted billing management.
